MARBLEX says Pixel Tamerz routes checkout through its own stablecoin store, but has not shown that store working in the live client.

MARBLEX, the blockchain subsidiary of Netmarble Corporation, said it had officially launched Pixel Tamerz globally. Edaily, reporting the Korean announcement, describes a pixel-art idle RPG developed by Return Pixel in which players collect and evolve more than 200 monster types, with a Gold Dungeon, mini-games and a PvP arena beside the main stages. CoinTrust carried MARBLEX’s launch post that the title was “OFFICIALLY LIVE.”
The game is not the story. The payments layer is. Crypto Games, writing ahead of the launch window, said Pixel Tamerz is the first MARBLEX title to carry the company’s own direct-to-consumer web storefront and XPay, marketed elsewhere as MBX Pay — the infrastructure behind the Netmarble unit’s stablecoin plans. MARBLEX’s strategy update on Medium framed MBX Store as a dedicated web store for stablecoin checkout, built as a D2C channel to cut reliance on mobile app marketplaces, and MBX Pay as a payments hub for multi-chain asset management, token swaps, one-tap checkout, and game subscriptions. XPay, as described by Crypto Games, covers gas fees, converts fragmented tokens from various chains into stablecoins, and handles in-game automatic payments through an AI agent the company calls X-40. The same outlet said MARBLEX plans to finish a Korean won stablecoin payment layer and its own content ecosystem by next year.
The title runs on Immutable. Cryptowisser described Immutable’s onboarding post, quoting the chain’s description of “200+ unique summons” that evolve on linear and branching paths. Return Pixel, in a statement carried by Immutable and relayed by Crypto Games, said it chose the chain “for its scalability, stability, and gas-free tech.” Gamevu, covering the June strategy update, said that from this year 20 per cent of net profits from newly released games will be allocated to an MBX buyback-and-burn programme. MARBLEX’s own Medium post used the same 20 per cent figure against “net revenue” from games launched from this year onward. Those two wordings are not identical; the company has not published a worked example.
This is a publisher-platform move. A listed Korean operator’s Web3 arm is putting a live mobile RPG on a chain it already uses, then routing checkout through a store it owns, in stablecoins, so the app-store cut is no longer the default. That is monetisation by margin rather than by token emission, the shift described in why play-to-earn died. Whether XPay and MBX Store are actually live in the launch client is not something MARBLEX has broken out in a post-launch technical note. The June roadmap said they would be. The August launch is the first consumer place to look.
Also: WEMADE and WEMIX PLAY opened global pre-registration in late August for a Web3 build of LightCON's roguelike tower defence Hellsquad Rrrush!: Stone Rush, with launch slated for September and Web3 access restricted in South Korea, China, Singapore and OFAC-sanctioned territories. It runs a two-currency design in which the second currency is exchangeable for WEMIX. Two Korean publishers, one week apart, are shipping live mobile hits onto their own rails rather than waiting for a marketplace to bless the token layer.
